We are excited to offer equine therapy as part of our behavioral health therapeutic program. We have three horses available with different focuses and skills to share with our clients. We start unmounted, learn to care for a horse, interact with the horse unmounted and then mounted when appropriate. Equine therapy is available by permission of the clinician and suitable for all ages, 3 years of age and up. Check our payment tab for costs and click below for more information.

Jewels is our big, beautiful paint mare who is strong and powerful under saddle. She is also a tattle-tale, reflecting exactly the same emotion as the rider. She requires a more advanced rider for independent riding but is the go-to girl for people with trauma and anxiety, as she gives the best horsey hugs. She rides Western and English and her favorite thing to do is jump!

Bourbon is our advanced equine therapy partner, as he has his own trauma history and has difficulty trusting people. Working with Bourbon is an opportunity to create a relationship through self-regulation and quiet confidence to teach him that you are a safe person. This translates to the rest of life, building leadership and confidence in the client.

Cool is calm and steady, though also a little slow. His laid back approach to life can build confidence and help clients feel safe as they explore how to partner with their equine friends. Cool is still big, but he's a sweetheart who loves treats and scratches.
